The University of Dayton’s parking information and campus map are the starting points for planning visitor parking. Use them to check current permit requirements and identify the campus area you need to reach. The parking information does not specify which visitor lots serve particular buildings or entrances, so confirm the appropriate lot before setting out.

Visitors can request a permit through the guest/event parking form or at a visitor center on University Circle or in Lot C. Visitor centers are listed as open Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Hours and parking rules can change, so check the official site before you go.

How do you get from I-75 to University of Dayton visitor parking?

For the main campus, the university directs drivers coming from I-75 to exit at #51, Edwin C. Moses Boulevard, then turn onto Stewart Street. Continue to the university entrance at College Park Avenue and follow College Park Avenue to the visitor parking information center.

Once you know your destination, check the University of Dayton campus tour planning guide if a tour is part of your visit, and confirm the parking location that fits your plans. Avoid assuming a visitor lot serves a particular building unless the university’s current map or parking guidance confirms it.

Choose a lot for your destination

Choose a lot for your destination

The right lot depends on where you are going, and the university’s parking information does not match visitor lots to individual buildings or entrances. Check the campus map and current parking guidance before choosing a space.

On the main campus, visitors may park in a visitor space or a single-letter lot such as Lot A, Lot B or Lot C without a permit only outside the stated permit-required hours.

Curran Place has a separate visitor rule: visitors may park in its visitor spaces without a permit, while employees and students may not use those spaces. If you plan to leave a vehicle there for more than three days, contact Parking Services to arrange parking.

For group events, contact Parking Services at parking@udayton.edu or 937-229-2128 to ask about space availability and permits. If your Dayton visit includes another campus, the Wright State University visitor guide covers a separate destination and its visit planning.

Permits, payment and accessible parking

Permits, payment and accessible parking

During the stated permit-required hours, a visitor permit or valid UD parking permit is required on university property: Monday–Thursday, 6 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and Friday, 6 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Outside those hours, a permit is not required if you park in a visitor space or a single-letter lot such as Lot A, Lot B or Lot C.

If you will park on campus for more than two consecutive weeks or more than three times per month, the university says you must purchase a permit.

A visitor with a state-issued disability placard or disability license plate should also obtain a visitor permit and may use a disability space, subject to availability. Marked disability parking areas are enforced at all times, and disability permits do not apply in spaces reserved for authorized personnel or other designated users.

Some locations have 15- or 30-minute delivery spaces. Those spaces do not require a permit, but emergency flashers are required. Parking without a permit, using the wrong lot during restricted times, or overstaying or using a delivery zone without flashers can result in a citation. The university says citations double if unpaid within 14 days.

Allow for event-day restrictions

For an event, confirm permit requirements and space availability before arriving; group visitors should contact Parking Services. Check current notices for any restrictions that affect the lot or area you plan to use, and follow posted parking instructions on arrival. If you’re coordinating an overnight stay with a campus visit, review the Air View rooms alongside your parking plans.
